The skin performs three major functions : Protection, sensation and temperature regulation. It protects the body against sun damage, dehydration, bacterial invasion and physical injuries. In terms of sensation, it keeps the body cool, warm and insulated as well as makes it feel heat,pain,pressure and touch. It releases sweat from the body and regulates blood flow to extreme regions of the body like limbs. From the foregoing,you would have noticed that environmental pollution,ultraviolet radiation such as sunshine,extreme temperature damage the skin. Also, the cosmetic products women use for makeup contain considerable amount of germs and harmful toxins that can injure your health.
Whatever your skin type, you need to take proper care of it by eating right because the skin needs the right nutrients to fight off damage to the body and to glow.
Eat lots of vegetables and fruits and drink plenty water to avoid dehydration. However, avoid processed and low nutrient food such as French fries,snacks and carbonated drinks they are unhealthy.
In addition,do exercises,get enough sleep,don't over expose yourself to the sun,and use only natural products.
